Hello

Having a constant runny nose can be almost debilitating at times. Having to blow and wipe your nose every 30 seconds can drive a person crazy. I will give you a few basic common tips that will help relieve your runny nose. Listed below are a few nasal congestion remedies that can help with minor or moderate nasal congestion.
1. This is almost common sense, but it works. Blow your nose every hour or so. This will remove the majority of the mucus in your nose. Nasal drip occurs when the mucus in your nose becomes thicker than normal. This prevents it from flowing down the back of your throat like it should.
2. Flush it out. Using a salt water rinse can help dry up the mucus. Use about one cup of warm water and mix in a half teaspoon of salt. Use an aspirator to get it into your nose, and be prepared for it to sting a little bit. After you do this for a few times you will get used to it, and it will not sting anymore. Make sure to blow your nose to remove any excess salt water.
3. Dairy foods help create more mucus. Try to stop eating dairy foods and this will help reduce the fluid in your nose.
4. A very common way to stop post nasal drip is to relax. Seriously, stress can be a huge factor in having a constant runny nose. Drink herbal tea without caffeine and just try to relax for a bit. I think this was one of the main causes for my chronic post nasal drip.
